Sunset gazing should be a top priority on any island holiday! It’s free, it’s magical and you get to take amazing photos. These are some of the best sunset spots on the island:

Cap de Formentor

Cap de Formentor sits right on the northwestern corner of Mallorca and it is arguably the best place to watch the sunset on the island of Mallorca. The peninsula of Cap Formentor is 20 kilometres long with dramatic cliffs and mesmerizing views of Serra de Tramuntana and the ocean. The lighthouse at Cap de Formentor is a popular spot for sunset gazing as well as watching the sunrise. It can get crowded. Be on time and bring your camera!

Sa Foradada Deia

One of the most photographed sunsets in Mallorca is at the viewpoint Sa Foradada in Deia. The peninsula is 70 metres long with a big hole at the end, allowing sunrays to shine through and create some beautiful and unique sunset magic.

Es Trenc

Crystal clear waters and a relaxed peaceful vibe, the sunset at the beach in Es Trenc is truly magical! With glistening waters and the sky reflected on the surface of the sea, It’ll get truly spectacular when the sunset kicks in colouring the world in shades of pink, purple, orange and red. Don’t miss out on sunset at Es Trenc!

Port de Soller

Just a short walk from Port de Soller, there are 2 incredible viewpoints to watch the sunset in Mallorca. Check out Far de sa Creu and Oratori de Santa Catalina for mesmerizing sunset views.

Sant Elm

A bit off the beaten track, Sant Elm is a peaceful little village with wonderful sea and sunset views. You won’t see the sun go down into the ocean instead it will disappear behind Dragonera Island. Prepare to get stunned.
