Yes, Deia is beautiful! You can spend hours or days just strolling around the narrow streets with limestone buildings stumbling across charming art galleries and ateliers, boutique shops, potteries and lovely cafes.

2. Dancing at Sa Fonda

This is one of the hot spots in town, located on the main street. Sa Fonda is a popular bar and restaurant, usually packed with people. The atmosphere is lively and inviting and there is frequently live music going on. Every Saturday night, this is the place to go dance! You might even spot some VIPs.

4. Visit the Deiá Archeological Museum and Research Centre

The Deiá Archeological Museum and Research Centre is located inside an old mill. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Deia. The museum was founded in 1962 by Dr William Walden, an American painter and archeologist. You will be taken back to the origin of human life here on the island with flint tools and ancient pottery to be admired. There are also workshops and activities going on.

5. Go hiking to Sa Foradada

Are you up for a hike? You will love the winding roads and stone pathways at Sa Foradada. The surroundings are peaceful and unspoilt. The views are stunningly beautiful and you can take a break at a wonderful cliff-edge restaurant along the way.

6. See the beach

It takes around 30 minutes to walk to Cala Deia from the town centre. It’s a rugged little cove with perfect azure blue waters. Swimming here is like spending time in an oasis. It’s also a great spot for snorkelling or simply sitting and enjoying the moment. It’s easy to feel at peace and inspired here.

7. Visit the house of painter Robert Graves

Robert Graves is a famous writer who lived in Deia. His house is turned into a museum dedicated to his life and works. Visit La Casa de Robert Graves and you’ll get a great glimpse into how life used to be in the old days here in Deia on the island of Majorca. The house has been preserved as it was when Robert and his wife Beryl lived in it.
