Surrounded by lush gardens and green hills, Villa Cal Papa certainly beckons for a rewarding holiday retreat for the 6 guests that it accommodates within its 3 bedrooms. Its traditional structure is designed and built using Majorcan stone for its location here in Pollensa, which is close to the beach of Cala San Vicente and the old town of Pollensa. While a charming pergola roof made of wood that drapes with lush trellis is one of the highlights of its outdoors, the indoors are not to be outdone either with its countryside-style decor and architecture, including stone-built wall sections, wooden ceiling beams, cotta-tiled flooring and arched walls demarcating the different sections of the home.
The 3 bedrooms at Villa Cal Papa are also traditional in style and decor, with one of them configured with double bedding and the other 2 rooms with twin bedding. Each room is comfortably furnished with mostly wooden amenities and furniture such as the wardrobe, dressing table, writing desk and side tables, chairs and framed window panes. One of the twin bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom while the other 2 bedrooms share a relatively spacious modern bathroom.
The gravel-filled outdoor ground is dotted with planted shrubs, flowering plants and all sorts of greenery that make this a suburban oasis of delight for guests to spend their time outdoors. The stone-built wall facade of the villa blends in pleasingly with its surroundings, which also consist of a dazzling swimming pool measuring 10m X 5m in the centre of a paved platform that overlooks the rocky and lush green hills. By the poolside is where guests also find a shaded terrace which consists of an alfresco dining table and chairs as well as a BBQ grill for guests to use. The other unique highlight is the wood-built pergola structure which is draped with hanging trellis and houses a long dining table for guests to have more picturesque and memorable moments dining alfresco here too.
The villa’s indoors consists of a stunning living room that is designed with classic country home concept as the main communal area for guests to convene with their loved ones. It is embedded with large windows that let in sunlight, exposed wooden beams on the ceiling, stone-built wall sections and cotta-tiled flooring that makes the home cosy, inviting and homely. From blue-and-white stripe cushions for the sofas to built-in stone benches into the walls under the window, guests will find various nooks and corners that they can sit around to enjoy the outdoor views or read a book. Beyond a wall arch is where guests would enter the dining area that features a 6-seater dining table with cove shelves, wooden beams and pendant lighting that completes the homey look of this space. The classic and spacious fully-equipped kitchen with modern fittings and amenities including a coffee maker and oven.
Guests can connect to complimentary WiFi Internet throughout their stay, and request for other services such as transportation, transfers, cooks for hire and also laundry, which are subject to additional charges. Other services such as change of bed linens and provision of baby cots and high chairs are already included in the stay package.
Villa Cal Papa which is located in Pollensa is close to the old town for guests to explore and visit the various antique shops to cafes with alfresco seating. Guests can also tuck into delicious paella and enjoy glasses of wines in any one of the restaurants. There is also the nearby beach of Cala San Vicente that guests can head for to savour some breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
